What kind of knife do I need?

When it comes to a knife, you need something you can easily carry and keep sharp.

Some people think having a Swiss Army Knife is a good idea because you have all the tools. If you go for this option, then get one of the locking ones. It makes a huge difference when cutting things.

My opinion and experience is that a simple knife can do pretty much everything you need and is easier to look after.

I am also pretty heavy handed and have managed to break a few Swiss Army Knives in my years.

The only bits I loved were the scissors because for some things it is easier than using a knife and the tweezers for when I got a splinter!
